Sylvester's Window

The South Sound Story Guild is working on a storytelling adaptation of a project called Sylvester's Window.  Eight tellers are preparing stories about eight different time periods in Olympia's history.  This project will be our major focus at the skillbuilding sessions this season.  We will be presenting the stories at our Stories in the Park series this Summer, at a handful of assemblies in area schools this Fall, and the full set will be the theme for our Tellabration event in November.

FANNING THE EMBERS

The growing tradition of a warm, northwest storytellers' retreat continues.  Storytellers from around the northwest US and British Columbia will gather once again in the comfort of St Andrew's House on gorgeous Hood Canal.  Great food, wonderful vistas, and inspiring comraderie await -  after 4 pm Friday, July 31 through lunch, Sunday, August 2.  More details and registration forms at www.fanningtheembers.com.   See you there!
