Registration materials are now available | Our Mission |
The mission of the South Sound Story Guild is to foster an appreciation for the art and tradition of storytelling in our community. Some of us are just starting out on the path of storytelling, while others have been telling for many years. Some members are folklore enthusiasts; others just love to listen to a well-spun tale. What unites us is a passion for the oral tradition of storytelling. |
| Come Join Us!!! |
Everyone is welcome to gather with us on the second and last Wednesdays of each month, September through June. The second Wednesday of each month will include some announcements, a skill building session on the topics noted below, and will always end with time for sharing or practicing stories. The last Wednesday of the month will be solely for sharing stories with a topic suggested below. We also put on a handful of events and workshops throughout the year. Our gathering place is at the Olympia Center, 222 Columbia Street NW in downtown Olympia (map). You'll find us on the Senior Services side, where there's lots of space, comfy chairs, couches and tables, and a place to make coffee and serve snacks. Park on or across the street or we're right on the bus line. Below is a short look at our calendar -- watch our full calendar for future events. |
